This is a very
rare variety of catfish and will rarely be seen in the hobby.
Strong current should be used as this is natural for the Mountain
Barbel. Strong filtration and frequent water changes are warranted
since this fish is sensitive to poor water quality. A standard
gravel is acceptable. Keep with similar sized fish in nothing
more than a semi-aggressive environment. Rocky areas should be
provided for hiding places.
Feed sinking foods, both meat and vegetable based.
