This is one of
the largest of the Whiptail Catfish types. It will often reach
one foot in length. It can be identified by it's characteristic
long, whip-like tail.
The habitat should be made up of driftwood, plants (live with
exposed roots if possible) and clean water. Good filtration and
regular water changes are a good idea. Provide a moderate to
strong current. This fish is not typically aggressive and can
usually be housed with much smaller fish.
Feed sinking foods, both veggie and meat based.
Sexing and breeding are unknown. |
