This is not a
large catfish but must still be respected. It has a very large
mouth. This fish will most likely be in-active most of the
time.
The habitat should be rocky with plenty of plants. Take care
when using sharp substrates as the fish may damage it's mouth
and surrounding areas. It may be kept with it's own species as
long as enough territory is provided for each. Never keep them
with smaller fish, they will be eaten. These are nocturnal species
so a lesser amount of light is required. Floating plants or dimming
lights may be used. Driftwood is also wise.
Feed sinking, Carnivorous foods.
Breeding and sexing are unknown. |
