Detailed Description:

This is a fairly large catfish that typically has a brown or silver like iridescent color with catfish typical long whiskers. These are long, thin bodied catfish that will likely need a lot of tank depth just to turn. Make sure your aquarium is at least 18" deep.
These fish should be placed in an environment with a lot of driftwood, rocks, and it should also be densely planted. Like many other catfish this one needs cover to feed as it lies in wait for its food.

Since this catfish is more Carnivore than Scavenger a meaty diet is a must. Bloodworms, beefheart, and other similar meaty foods are acceptable while young. When the specimen gets older larger foods such as live feeders or raw meat should be offered.

Sexing is unknown.

Breeding habits are also unknown.
