This is an extremely
rare form of Betta that was discovered in 1975. Its characteristics
are relatively unknown.
Keep this species in a very gentle environment with floating
and rooted plants for cover. Gentle fish area must, do not keep
with fin nippers. Substrate can be of any type. Water should
be clean and neutral. Water changes and filtration are important.
However, due to their "lung-like" organs they will
be able to breath air from the surface. Adding air is beneficial
but not absolutely necessary. The males of this species are not
known for fighting like with the common Betta (Betta Splenden).
Feed any typical Betta food.
Sexing and breeding are not known. |
