Detailed Description:

This Barb should have a light colored, usually tan, body with a dark spot at mid-body and one at the base of the caudal fin. With age this fish may develop a red tint all over or a defined red stripe.
Plants must be used for cover. Keep them in groups of 3 or more. Leave decorations towards the edges of the tank to allow for good swimming area. Don't keep with aggressive fish. They are somewhat tolerant of semi-aggressive fish but do best with their own kind. The water should be neutral in pH. Some current, though slight, would be beneficial.

Feed typical foods like flakes, frozen, pellets, and small live.

Breeding and sexing are not known.
