Detailed Description:

Sadly this fish is extremely popular. Unfortunately, they aren't appropriate for most aquarists. This fish is very large at about a foot in length and will have a silver body. The fins will be tipped in orange. The body type should be typical of Barbs but on a much larger scale. The scales will be large and obvious.
These fish need a lot of room to swim. Provide the largest aquarium you can for them, especially if keeping them in groups...which is recommended. Any decorations such as plants, driftwood, and rocks should be kept towards the sides and back of the aquarium. Also, don't startle them. They are extremely fast swimmers and can be startled easily which may cause them to damage their noses while running into the glass. Keep with similar sized fish like Bala Sharks and Silver Dollars. Monitor chemical levels of all kinds regularly.

Earthworms, beefheart, algae tablets, fresh veggies, and any other typical foods will work just fine. Feed often and these fish should grow very quickly.

Breeding and sexing are not known.
