Detailed Description:

This is a large and thin Barb. The body will be silver with small darker spots.
Provide lots of swimming space. The larger the aquarium the larger this species will grow. Keep with their own kind, 3 or more should work fine. They may school with other large Barbs. While generally peaceful they should not be trusted with smaller fish. They may nip fins. Plants and rocks should be provided for hiding. The water should be slightly acidic.

Basic fish foods will work fine for the species of Barb.

Sexing and breeding are not known.
