Detailed Description:

This may very well be the smallest Barb in the world. The Sierra Leone has trouble reaching 1 inch at full growth. The color will be yellowish with darker horizontal stripes on the body.
Keep them in groups of 3 or more. They may be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish. The aquarium should have plants and rocks for cover. The water should be average, avoiding any extremes. Decent filtration and regular water changes will suffice.

Feed any typical fish food like flakes, frozen, tiny pellets, and small live.

Sexing is not known.

Breeding is best left to the experts and has rarely been seen in the home aquarium.
