This is a large
and very fast moving fish. It is often confused with the much
more common Tinfoil Barb for good reason. They look almost
exactly the same. The body is silver with orange fins.
Tons of space should be provided for these fast moving fish.
Keep the middle of the aquarium open! Decorations such as rocks
and plants should be kept towards the edges. Neutral water is
recommended. Somewhat sensitive to poor water conditions, this
fish should be provided with clean water. Strong filtration is
recommended. Keep with similar sized fish that can tolerate a
fast moving environment.
Feed both vegetables and meat based foods. Both are important.
