This is an average
sized Barb that will do well in a community aquarium with other
similar sized fish. The body will have a tan color and a few
darker markings on the sides. The body will generally be thin.
Keep these fish in groups of 6 or more. Typical of Barbs they
should be very quick and frequently active swimmers. Don't concentrate
on them too much, they'll give you a headache. The water conditions
don't have to be perfect, these fish are fairly adaptive. Keep
an eye on the heat, however. Typical tropical temperatures work
fine. Current is not needed.
Feed a variety of foods including meat and vegetable based
foods. Flakes, pellets, and frozen work fine.
Sexing and breeding habits are unknown. |
