This is a large
Barb fish, yet it should be kept in schools of about 6. In
nature they are found in the Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the Cauvery
river systems in India.
pH should be Neutral or slight acidic...nothing above Neutral
will work well. Otherwise they are quite resistant to other water
conditions.
Feeding is easy as they readily accept just about any kind
of dried or frozen foods.
Sexing is unknown.
