This catfish
is very nervous and will hide most of it's life, only coming
out to feed. They often find it difficult adjusting to a new
environment. They should be provided with plenty of current
and air.
A soft substrate should be provided to avoid injury to the skin
and whiskers. Hiding places are absolutely imperative. Plants
and rocks should work well. This fish can be somewhat aggressive
out of fear. Keep it with fish that are capable of handling themselves
yet not aggressive enough to harm the catfish. Don't keep multiple
specimens together because they may fight for prime territories.
Sinking meaty foods are most relished.
Sexing and breeding habits are unknown. |
