This fish is
interesting in appearance because it has a transparent body
that you can literally see through. It's quite small and will
fit into most community aquariums. It will also co-habitate
with other small catfish species like Corydoras.
Provide rocky hiding places and caves as well as plenty of plants.
They are often quite active and will more than likely be out
during the day, they are not nocturnal. They aren't too sensitive
to water conditions so a normal pH and temperature for tropicals
will suffice. Clean water is important, make sure you have good
filtration and bi-weekly waters changes should be performed.
Foods should be of a sinking variety. Meaty foods work best.
Breeding and sexing are unknown. |
