This is a rare
and not commonly seen Angelfish, however it's needs are similar
to those of the common Angelfish. Both fish inhabit the same
bodies of water and require the same conditions.
Provide plants and rocky areas for cover. A soft substrate is
recommended. Both this species and the common one have been seen
schooling together. This is perfectly acceptable. The tank should
be large enough to provide ample room for swimming and the tank
should be high enough to accommodate their tall bodies. Frequent
water changes and good filtration should be used to keep this
fish in good health.
Feed a variety of foods. Flakes, pellets, frozen, and small
live will all work well.
Breeding should be very similar to the common species.
Sexing is unknown. |
