While the dark period of Milosevic`s Serbia, the personality and artwork of Misha Kravcev were `in the corner` for many reasons. And during this period, all leading public broadcasts or newspapers, were almost closed for him. One of the results of being `a man out of the system` were 10 years period of fighting for saving his flat (and this is stil a problem), and 10 years without a chance to buy it, like all other people in his country, not even the chance to get some space for working. He never was one of the `clan`, one of the followers of the system, of that way of thinking, of that way of behaving in generaly, with all that poltroonism to some `mighty persones`. And from the other side, he was too much authentic, too much free mind and spirited, too much Blue, even without respecting or understanding his ideas in a such atmosphere. He was brave to tell the true in the public, keeping his own way of working and thinking, rather oposit than accepted all those years. Even more, while those days of `darknest darkness`, during the war and just after that, he was enough brave to tell his opinion in public (for exeample in Japanese `Mainichi Shimbun` or `Reporter` from RS while this Magazine was forbiden in Yugoslavia)

1998, he was invited by the Swedish galleriests to take a part in the `Stockholm, The Capital of Europe 98`, and they arranged him a great excibition in the center of Stockholm, for that cellebration. On Milosevic`s TV news, there was no word about that event, and one journalist from `Politika`, alined that excibition with one beginer`s in a third level gallery in Belgrade, noticing this two events at the corner of the page, in few sentences, together. The legendary art critic from `Politika` in pre Milosevic`s time, Mirjana Zivkovic, an editor of cultural page, called him ` an Arpheas with a paint brush`. She wrote about him as the one of the most authentic art painters today, which was confirmed by many others, later. (He was one of a verry few living artists in Yugoslavia, whose excibitions has been opened by Mirjana Zivkovic herself). As a persone `out of the system`, she was warned that she will be dismissed from her editor`s place. Very soon after that, she passed away. In the next period, `Politika` with new editors from Milosevic`s regime, were almost closed for Misha Kravcev. `Politika~ was opened only for the obeydients of the `system`, no matter, that Kravcev was the only painter from Yugoslavia invited directly from the leading European galeriests, at the most important events in the world of art. `...From my cosmopolitan Belgrade, they (Milosevic, family and other fellows) made a cloaca, a dirty whole, capable only for rats, cockroaches, and other pests, all those which are not even looks like to some human beings...` A quote from an interview with Misha Kravcev at `Reporter`,from RS,at the fall 1999, while the period of the bigest pressure.

A DOWNSTAR Oil on canvas 62x81 They asked me, why the women is the prior object at my pictures. A woman is everything. A woman is the beauty, the harmony, the Nature in it`s prettiest shape. A woman is something, without all my energy is useless and existing no more. Out from the woman`s body, steped down from the Heaven, I came to this world, and throughout a woman I could only see the celestial light which atracts me. A woman is also that red colour coming from the breasts of my `Aphrodita`, coming to this world just before dawn; a woman is the Firstmother; that landscape made out from the hiden acts, in my painting `Creation of the world`. A woman is subtlety and sophistication, that today`s world need desperately. Misha Kravcev,1996
