Welcome!
The Anime Seamstress is an on-line shop for anime and period costumes.

2 March 2001
Hello!! Another update!! after such a long time ^___^; been busy, busy, busy, and I have a backlog of mail, too ^^; but don't worry, I always reply, it just that when I'm working on something I try to stay away from the computer, so it takes me quite some time to reply to some mail :)
Anyway, here are the new stuff I've added to the site:

1. Foreign Orders: Yup, just shipped my first foreign order to the US yesterday ^____^
Please
2. I added some clarificatory stuff about making orders. To save time, I will be asking for a pic attachment or a link to a pic of the costume you plan to order.
3. I'm in the process of making a more extensive and organized ^^; gallery, so expect it to be up in...a month ^__^

That's about it for now. I didn't add any new pictures of the stuff I've worked on the past few months because the people who ordered still have not yet worn them to a con and I don't want to give spoilers!! So expect lots of pictures some time in May instead.

SEE YA!

Thank you to ANIMA ANIME for inviting me to their Oct 14 Anime Revue.

IMPORTANT For all those who want to order costumes for the con:

Since I need 2 weeks to finish a costume, the last day I'll be accepting orders for the con this Nov 3,4,5 would be this Tuesday, October 17. In other words, by Tuesday, the order should be finalized, and you should have given me the go signal to start on it.

26 Sept 2000
Finally--my page has been updated and renovated! ^__^

Please look at Updates to see what I've added. And, you can look at Current Projects to see what I'm now busy with.

The pages here are different from how they were grouped in my old site, so here's a brief explanation:

Costumes -- the catalogue of the different costumes you can order
Pictures -- some costumes I've made so far (mostly RK ^__^;;)
Ordering -- includes information about size measurements, and how to order
Misc -- my credentials (if you're wondering), and RK Collages my sis and I made

Last, a bit about this site--Yup, sewing and anime are two of my hobbies ^__^. I just recently opened a tiny dress shop at home, but when I heard about the convention this November, I thought making costumes would be really fun, hence this site.

Since most anime fans are students, I try to make the price affordable. And, being a fan myself, I go for accuracy in the "look" and construction of the garment (particularly for the traditional costumes), while keeping your comfort (and budget) in mind.

Current Projects

Almost finished:
Shinsengumi -- includes undershirt, kimono, hakama, and haori with cord

In progress:
Dilandau* -- includes pants, coat, boots, gloves, headdress, undershirt, scarf and sword belt
Allen* --includes pants, coat, gloves, boots, swordbelt, caravat
*These 2 costumes might be quite expensive because the details require a lot of labor. The ones I'm making will not be for sale but for rent. The size is large. Please email me if you want to have one made for yourself.

Future plans:
Tomoe's kimono
Hiko's cape
