Saito Hajime was the 3rd Unit Captain of the Shinsengumi. He really hates Battousai and fought him the most. He is a bit arrogant, calling names and swearing. He calls Sanosuke, Ahou ( Idiot/Stupid); Kaoru, Racoon-girl; and Misao, Weasel-girl. He is a very good fighter and I mean good. He fought with Kenshin during the Kyoto Arc and even pretended his own Death, because according to him he joined Kenshin to destroy Shishio but after that he'll continue what he started during the Bakumatsu. Well he also likes plain soba very much. It was proven on several episodes. And he also have a wife named Tokio although I haven't seen any picture of her. He has these motto which is Aku..Soku..Zan so he's not like Kenshin who stops killing. By the way he also works now as an Assitant Inspector for the Meiji Governement.
