Witch Trial (season 2 premiere)

I thought the season premiere of 'Charmed' was overall a pretty good one. The plot and story lines were well-written. The special effects for the demon, Abraxas, were kind of unrealistic, especially when the sisters opened the window to the astral plane. Abraxas himself was not a very realistic-looking demon.

The new neighbors who move in next-door to the Halliwell Manor, Dan and his niece, Jenny, seem interesting and I think they will contribute a lot to the second season. Jenny seems like a lonely girl who is a little uncomfortable with living with her uncle while her parents are in Saudi Arabia. She wants a woman to talk to about some of her problems that she doesn't feel comfortable talking to her uncle about. Dan doesn't seem to know how to handle those problems very well

It was very emotional when Prue admitted to her sisters that guilt about Andy's death had been keeping her from using her powers. Of course, her sisters comforted her and told her that it wasn't her fault. Prue acts like she feels better about it now, but you have to wonder if she really does feel guilt-free now.In the end, the sisters conquered the demon and got the book back from him. All in all, it was a pretty good season premiere in my opinion.

Morality Bites

I thought the episode "Morality Bites," when the sisters go to the future to try to stop a frightning premonition Phoebe has, was one of the most interesting yet. I thought all of the acting was very good and I was especially surprised at how good of an actress the little girl who was casted as Melinda, Piper's daughter, was. Also, a character, Pratt, that could become an enemy in future episodes was introduced. Some things didn't look all too real, like the blonde wig Shannen Dohert (Prue) wore and the door Prue and Piper created in the wall of the prison building.

The sisters' powers will grow in an almost scary way, especially Phoebe's. Whoever thought that Phoebe's "passive" power would turn out to be deadly? Surprising Piper or making Prue angry wouldn't be a very smart thing to do In 2009, either. It was so sad when Phoebe told Prue and Piper that it was right for her to die for what she did.You almost really believe that Phoebe will die and Piper and Prue will be stuck in their future selves. Of course, they are zapped back to 1999 when they learn an important lesson about not using their powers for revenge.

The Painted World

I thought the episode "The Painted World" was okay. I didn't think the whole idea of being trapped in a painting was very interesting. Some of the lines were pretty funny, though, so that made up for it. Phoebe was having a personal crisis, because she was convinced she was stupid. I don't know why she thought that because she usually figures things out before her sisters. It looks like Piper has a crush on Dan. Phoebe was accusing her of that and I think her suspicions are probably right. One of the funniest parts was the picture Phoebe drew for Jenny while helping her with her biology project.I thought it was pretty obvious the guy, Malchom, that they were trapped in the painting with was a warlock. In the end, Phoebe saves Prue and Piper using her own smarts realizes that she is smart and talks about maybe going back to college.

The Devil's Music

The episode "The Devil's Music" was kind of boring, for me anyway. I didn't think the demon and how the sisters vanquished it was very interesting. It looks like Piper's club might be a success after all. The name is creative, 'P3'. I don't think Piper and Leo's relationship is going very well. Maybe they are not meant to be together, in spite of what Piper saw in the future. She does seem kind of interested in Dan, though. The demon special effects were pretty good. For the most part, they were on the realistic side. Well, that's all there is to comment on for this episode. It was overall pretty okay.

She's A Man Baby!

I thought the episode "She's a Man" was a good one. It had very funny lines and the plot was pretty hilarious. The acting was good, too. Prue's turning into a man was the funniest part, of course. She looked like a gay guy! The sisters all have love interests now. Piper has two, Leo and Dan. Prue got some good insight on men and discovered that Alan does like her. Phoebe met a doctor named Owen Grant, and it seems like that could turn into something. The special effects were pretty good. It looked real, for the most part. Overall, it was a good episode. I think probably one of the funniest ones yet.

That Old Black Magick

I was kind of disappointed with the episode "That Old Black Magic." It wasn't as good as it looked from the previews. There just weren't a lot of exciting or humorous points. The acting of guy who played Kyle, the Chosen One, wasn't all that great. He was also very geeky looking. The acting of the rest of the cast was pretty good though. The special effects were okay. Most of it looked realistic. Although, when
Tuatha, the evil witch, shrunk the two guys who released her, it looked fake.I liked the idea of what happened to the people in the Blair Witch Project when they got lost in the woods. It was pretty creative.I was hoping for a few more Leo vs. Dan scenes. It was pretty sad when Leo and Piper broke it off for good, but now Dan and Piper can have a relationship. Well, that's all there is to say about this episode. It was kind of boring.
