Oak Ridge Cemetery

Update!!! 2/14/2004
This cemetery first intrigued me when
i saw a picture posted, which contained incredible ecto forming.
So i decided to check this place
out for myself. The trip there was very nice, the scenery in that area
is really beautiful. I got there just as the sun was setting, and since
the cemetery sits atop a large hill you could see very far, it was just
really very pretty.
In these pictures, i lightened
a lot of them and messed around with the contrast so you can see a little
better, otherwise there would be a lot of darkness. Some of the pictures
may look grainy, but they really are great pictures, just lightened up.
I left a few of them as they were taken just to show the nice view :)
My first impression of the cemetery
was that I did not feel scared, I have visited haunted locations where
you can just feel a vibe of something angry inside. But at this place,
I definately felt the energy there, but it was that of something of a happier
nature. There was an easiness there, and i felt the sense of something
feeling very very lost, and a curiousness, if that makes any sense at all.
Quite a change from some of the other places i have visited. Nevertheless
it was a nice stay. I did not see anything out of the ordinary (without
the camera) I did hear something running around in the woods next to the
cemetery but it was most likely an animal. The first pictures i was taking
didn't show anything... but i walked around a little and introduced myself.
(sounds funny i know, and i actually fealt really weird talking to (myself)
it seemed) After about ten minutes I did feel a little bit paranoid, not
in a negative way, but like something was watching me. I found myself turning
around quickly expecting to see something. My attention kept averting to
the little barn/shed and the pavillion, hence all the pictures i took of
it. I'm glad i trusted that hunch because i got some interesting things
in the pictures i did take. I posted all the pictures i took, some have
odd things in them, some dont, i posted my interpretations of them at the
bottom of the page. This place is definately worth looking into. There
is a house behind the cemetery, (at the time i was at the cemetery it seemed
that nobody was home) But the cemetery is fenced near where the house is
so I don't know if they are the caretaker or not. There wasn't any "notrespassing
signs" so I'm guessing it's free for all to enjoy :) Or i hope so because
i intend on going back.

6. I didn't see anything at first, but if you look to the right of the picture, it looks maybe as if someones sitting on the headstone

17. This picture was very strange, i noticed a figure on top of the barn/shed, it seems to be sitting with it's knee propped up. In the shot after this, it was gone. Also in this picture there seems to be a face floating above the ground near the bottom of the shed.

20. This image was also a weird one, to the left there seems to be a profile of a person, (looks maybe like a little girl or an indian) sitting with (it's) hands in it's lap. I have an enlarged and edited picture of this image later. Also in this picture, in the middle there seems to be a face with teeth.
21. This is the shot directly after the previous one, the (girl) is gone and maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but the colors of the skyline (to the left) seem to have taken shape as a face and i can find detailed eyes in the figure. There seems to be a lot going on in this picture... you decide.
22. This picture definately caught my attention. To the left of the barn, there seems to be a figure of an old man reaching for something, his head poking above the shrub line. If you take a look at other pictures of the barn and the shrubline. This figure is definately NOT there. I think this is one of the weirdest pictures i captured during this trip.
23. This is a strange picture, I'm posting the full picture first, then the detailed second. The third headstone from the tallest one, there is (something) leaning against the headstone. Bizarrely it looked to me like a mini skeletal person.

UPDATE!! 2/14/04
I decided to go back to the cemetery since i was in
the area and take somemore pictures, it was a little lighter outside than
it was the last time i went. So I got to see a little better what surrounded
the cemetery. I noticed that to the left of the cemetery there seemed to
be a trailer or some sort of building right next to the cemetery.... very
old and delapitated it seemed. It was a very clear afternoon/nearing evening.
But VERY VERY cold. The cemetery seemed very inviting... another very comfortable
visit. Strange thing is..... I heard the same sound rustling in the woods
in the exact area i heard last time. And it stopped abruptly as it did
before... Maybe just coincidence, or a squirrel that lives in the trees
there... nevertheless i started taking pictures in that area and i did
have something strange show up.
I took a WHOLE lot of pictures since i got a new card
for my digital camera, it can hold over 100 pictures, which is nice =)
But i only posted the ones that seemed necessary.
The first two are pictures of the strange two steps
that are in front of the cemetery. The third is the view, the fourth is
a (smaller) picture, of the strange face. Look closely, it seems a face
has left a dark trail and is looking down at a headstone. The next picture
is a link to the entire picture uncropped. Note this is the area i heard
the rustling... but probably just coincidence.
The sixth picture I was facing towards the sun and
got a strange white light, probably some reflection bouncing off a headstone,
but perhaps not. The seventh picture shows the (building) that seems to
be there, i didn't walk down that far, i kind of stayed in the middle of
the cem. and took the pictures. The eighth is the view looking down towards
hwy cc. Ninth is the cemetery again.
And the tenth is the cemetery's front as I was leaving.
I am fairly sure this cemetery is public, there is a sign that says please
help keep the cemetery clean, or something of that nature. Once i find
a good emf meter i want to come back and see what readings i can get.
If anyone sees anything else that i haven't mentioned in these pictures, or want to see the *full* pictures unlightened, since most of these are lightened and cut down so that they aren't too huge too load, just email me
