Main impression:
Clic! Clic! Kodak!
Odors:
Urine, it seems like every one pee in all the litle lost corner. The problem is that it's full of litle
lost corners. It may only be an impression but it seems worst than in Montreal.
Notes: While reading back this page I remembered that this impression was false, I had been unlucky that
day, meanwhile what surprised me was the nomber of dog sh*t on the sidewalk. You always had to look where
you place your feet afraid to bring back keepsake.
Colors:
Green, Brussels is the second greenest city worldwide after Washington.
Flavor:
The "lapin à la geuse", rabbit cooked in Geuze beer sauce. Miam!
Sound:
Rain on the pavement.
Texture/sentation :
Waffles, whipped cream, chocolate! Not only is it delicious but those ingredients marry themselves very
well textures wise.
Day summary:
My bus tour ticket was good for 24 hours so I could do another circuit and stop at the Atomium to take
a few pics. The Atomium is closed for renovation in 2005, sad since the view up there should be beatifull.
After that I went back in town to look for beers. The "Bier Temple" was easy to find but i didn't find
the "Bier Circus" because I didn't have the address on me. First stop, the café "À la mort subite" very
nice establishment with an old charm where I took a "tartine au fromage blanc" (a slice of bread with
cream cheese and french onions) and few beers: Faro Mort Subite, Rochefort 8 and Orval.
After, I was walking and discovered by chance
Deliruim Café and its 2004 beers... I didn't taste them all, I contended myself with
a "Fantôme Printemps".
I finally went to In 't Spinnekopke,
à la petite Araignée restaurant to take a "Lapin à la gueuze" preceded by a gray shrimp
croquettes entry and followed by Profiteroles for dessert, all accompanied by a Drie Fontenen Geuse...
Miam!
