Before they went in the barrel
Rocks are wet to bring out colors.
25 Weeks - 46/70
Why 25 weeks? I was determined to have a full barrel of flawless Mexican
lace
I added more rocks to the batch either to replace those I pulled out
(because I was happy with the shape) or just to bring the level back up
in the barrel as the rocks wore down. I just kept pulling some out, and
adding more rough, pulling some out, and adding more rough, and so on...
until I had enough to fill a barrel with the one's I felt were ready for
the next stage.
The rocks shown in the picture are some which were chosen to go through
120/220. Not all the rocks fit into the picture.
Rocks started off as wet, but by the time I got a decent enough picture,
they dried out.
5 days - 120/220
