.

.
.
Note: This page shows a technique of how a French style plaque can be made.
The dimentions of this project can be changed to any size you desire.
.
.
.
What you need to make a plaque like the one above:
wood
pencil
ruler
Drill press & a forstner Drill Bit
A Saw
Wood burner
220 grit Sand paper
metal straight edge
penny
.

 Draw a 2 1/2" X 3" rectangle onto a piece of 1/4" wood, using a pencil or a marker and a ruler
.

Drill a hole at each corner of the rectangle using a
3/4" Forstner Drill bit.
.
TIP: Put a piece of scrap wood under your project to avoid blow out and jagged edges.
.

Cut your rectangle out along the lines with your saw, and sand your piece smooth.
.
.

With a pencil, draw a border

.

Use a metal straight edge and a penny to help you burn your border

.
You're Done!

Now it's up to you to decide how to decorate your plaque. The possibilities are endless!
