The International Fireworks Competition started off with the Australia show! It was a pretty chilly day but we came prepared with blankets and a picnic dinner. Michelle first had to brave the traffic on MacLeod and actually ended up looping around on Deerfoot! Then we met up with Jess at the Science Centre. Riding the C-Train to Marlborough and then catching the shuttle was very time consuming. The fireworks started at 9:30 and lasted about 1/2 hr. The fireworks were timed to music, including songs reminiscent of Kylie Minogue and the show even featured "climb every mountain" from the Sound of Music! After that, we went to Joey's Tomato and enjoyed a decadent dessert. Trailer Park Boys are hilarious!
