Swords and Serpents

This spot for Swords and Serpents, Acclaim's 4-player RPG, definetly has Acclaim written all over it. This ad stars four adventurers: two warriors, a mean-looking woman, and some old dude holding a toruch. We watch as they brave gameplay footage to find treasure guarded by a fake snake. Confused? Don't blame you. Maybe the announcer can clear things up.

"Tonight, instead of just playing a video game, live it. Swords and Serpents takes you to a new world where you become one of a band of super warriors. Do you enter the dungeon, choose your weapons, or forge ahead? The battle is at hand. You must gain experience and power by defeating the evils of the dark. Danger lurks in the dungeon, but so do the rewards. Enter Acclaim's world of Swords and Serpents on your NES if you dare!

Please tell me this isn't the serpent everybody fears.
