 On occasion, see deer just 25 ' from the verandah, or wild rabbits in the lane.

Watch bald eagles circle high above the harbour before diving for a meal.

Gulls are frequent sights,                         as are ducks (diving for food)                    and blue heron

 Hundreds of wild Canadian geese stay for the winter at the sanctuary near Martinique Beach across the harbour and feed on the flats in front of the house.
