In spring, the plum trees in the mini-orchard and apple trees come into blossom followed by the lilac, the azalea, the dainty pink flowers of the honeysuckle in late spring and the red splendor of the spirea in the fall. Other shrubs include yellow forsythia, pink rhododendron, red weigela, potentilla, & wild Indian cherry. Trees include pine, birch, spruce, maple, willow. Flowers include peony & lupine, wild roses (multi-petal and single petal). Late summer, pick blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and cranberries and, in the fall, pick apples & plums for jams or jellies. In the fall, wild asters, Brown Eyed Susan, Mountain Ash & fall shrubbery are brilliant in colour.
