About Us:
Doug Mit
chell:
Born in a family where firearms and air guns were quite prevalent, I started
shooting at the age of 5 with my first air gun. I've had the pleasure of owning
and/or firing many types of firearms from small bore to Class III. Though my
interest in organized competition was focused mainly on IPSC (practical pistol)
and sub-machinegun, I've spent a great deal of time with air rifles and HP rifles
for recreation. I hope that with Airgun Online, Rick and I can help promote
the shooting sports, by increased interest, knowledge, and participation. There
is a fine line between air guns and firearms. Air guns offer the best avenue
for the beginner to the highest precision for the most advanced. Thank you,
and enjoy.
Rick Williams:
I began competitive shooting in the sixties. I started shooting smallbore rifle,
primarily postion, but a
lso
prone a little later. I switched to centerfire or HP rifle around 1971 and shot
with a US Navy Squad for a while when I was in college. I shot expert in SB
and made distinguished in HP. My competitive pistol experience has been limited
to postal matches, a couple of IPSC matches and a short period of time when
I was competing in the pentathalon. I formally made expert in pistol somehow
along the way.
Today I pretty well limit myself to shooting my FWB-80 for pistol and my 2002CA
for rifle.
