The Perfect
Geometric Solution to A Design On The Nasca Plain..

| A pretty bold statement to make even if
I say so myself, but I am convinced beyond a shadow of a
doubt that I have found the symbolism in the above
design. My belief for sometime has been that the ancients
knew many Gods, but that their two most important and
principle divinities were Pi and Phi. I further believed
that these ancients had left proof of this belief in the
monuments and designs that seem an enigma to us today. I
also strongly believed that the two words "Sacred Geometry"
themselves were trying to tell us something. I also
believed that this knowledge was cloaked, first in
Ancient Egypt by the early Priests of the temples and
also in many of the sacred beliefs and symbols of Ancient
Egypt, The Great Pyramid of course being one, and the
second by the mystery schools of Pythagoras, who studied
in Egypt and may have brought these great secrets with
him to Classical Greece. And finally to The Pagans of
around the time of Christ, whose ancient symbols were so
freely borrowed by the early Christian church and
eventually absorbed by this new religion, first as a true
doctrine of Life but later lost in the massacre of their
beliefs by the Roman Empire, which exists in full force
today under the guise of The Roman Catholic Church. I
also sense that theses Pagans or early Christians may
have fled to the west and settled somewhere in the
Americas. But I lacked proof and in away I still do, but
with this solution I feel that I have at least prehaps
proven that these Gods of mine, Pi and Phi, stretched
from Ancient Egypt, to Sumeria, to Ancient Classical
Greece, and were also part of the Pagan belief system and
were taken over by the early Christians with full
knowledge of what they meant. My proof for each of these
assertion will be forthcoming in further pages but I must
empahsize that they all originate from the same source. I
like to call this source "The
Three Circles of Life" but
equally as fitting would be calling them "The Three Circles
of Creation". A couple of years ago, around Dec. 12th, 1998, I came up with what I thought was a correct solution to this design (See old solution here). I felt that it offered a possible solution to the problem, but it wasn't as foolproof as I had hoped but lived with it in the back of my mind, satisfied that I had done my best to offer a solution. Just recently I offered this earlier solution on a couple of E-Boards I am on and a gentleman by the name of Tim asked the innocent question: "Why did they just not draw the circles ?" I immediately started to think that perhaps he was right. Why didn't they just draw the circles ? There must have been more to it ? And so combining this thought along with others I was working on, I attacked the problem from a different angle. I had been working on many other solutions to various enigmas found in the world as well as, and those that know me can attest to this, the symbolism in The Great Pyramid. How did this design fit into my hypothesis of the ancient Gods being Pi and Phi ? And then yesterday, while driving around the streets of Toronto, an idea occured to me. Since my job allows me, at times, to sit idle in my vehicle for sometimes a couple of hours at a time, I decided to test out this new thought. So I got out my trusty compass, straightedge and compass and got to work (Yes, I always carry them with me!). In my earlier proof I had simply used the wrong three circles. Which three should I then use ? Here in lies the beauty of all that will follow. It is I believe a "Truth" so profound that it will make the people, like Jesus was apt to say, believe ! But as you read further remember that Jesus also emphasized that you must have "Faith". so as you read along try to remember this and keep The Faith and remember you gotta believe ! Note Here: The following is taken from my web page "A Geometric Solution to The Ankh" (soon to be posted) It really should not be on this page but it is the only spot I have the write up on how to arrive at the real configuration and I was just too lazy to re-type it to fit this theme. It explains how we arrive at the true configuration of The Three Circles of Creation. .....The Ankh ... A key ? This is what some propose is the true meaning and symbolism of this ancient Egyptian symbol, The Ankh. Others, in the conservative camp suggest that it's origins lie in the way and style of how the Ancient Egyptians wore their sandal straps. (They have to be kidding ... right ?) The Ancient Egyptian's most sacred symbol derived from sandal straps? I find this difficult to believe! Those that propose that it is a key of some sort always manage to fail to tell us what it might be the key to.What does it unlock? Perhaps I can help. Regardless of where these people think that the Ancient Egyptians got this symbol from and how it was derived and designed, nearly all concede that it means or represents life. .....I feel I have stumbled onto how it might have originated and in my own way can relate it to "Life". This solution was arrived at after many hours of trying to solve the age old problem of "squaring the circle" using just the three basic tools of classical geometry; the compass, a straightedge and a marker. The true beauty in this solution of mine is, I feel, that the exact configuration can not be drawn. The best we can achieve is an approximation. However, and this is extremely important and masks the true beauty of the solution, it can be achieved in one place and only one place. A place that has not really changed in untold millennia. A place where all things are possible and where one is not burdened by the material. The place ? ... The Mind of Man ! ......To understand how I arrived at my starting point please click here. After arriving at the set up illustrated below.
I began to experiment, but found I wasn't getting anywhere other than my solution to The Nasca Design. Nice but my theory was that the Ancient Egyptians not only knew Pi and Phi, but could square the circle as well. .....How was I going to prove that ? Then I had what I feel was a profound insight. For years, many great minds had tried to "square the circle", always in vain I might add. What if, I reasoned, I switched attacks and instead of trying to square the circle, I instead tried to CIRCLE THE SQUARE ! Would it yield the same results ? Many thoughts raced through my mind. One such thought was the old Mason saying which went " He is on the square" or many references to "being on the square". I was exhilarated ! Where would it lead ? Would it yield the same results ? What follows is the direct result of this one single thought. CIRCLE THE SQUARE ! ...Brilliantly simple ! But cloaked, I felt, very effectively and cleverly by steering people away from this thought (circling the square) toward and always back to the unsolvable and meaningless problem of squaring the circle. Brilliantly simple yet Brilliantly clever as well !!! .....But which circle should we square ? Or should I really say which square surrounding which circle should I circle ? This is the question I left you with on Page 1. It occurred to me to "circle the square" that enclosed the "Circle of Man". I chose this one simply because, in my own mind, I found some hidden symbolism and meaning within the old Mason saying of " ... being on the sqaure." Since Masons can only be male, I decided to experiment with this circle first. The results it yielded were nothing short of astounding! The similarities between using Phi or the circled square were so close that it is difficult to say with certainty which of the two were used. However, there is no doubt that it was one or the other, ( I will explain more fully on this later on as we go on our search for The God Phi) With the configuration of "The Three Circles of Creation or of Life", and having labelled the top circle "God", the left (as we look at them) "Man" and the right circle (again as we look at them) "Woman", I decided to simply draw a square enclosing, exactly, the "Circle Man" and extending the top of this square across and over the "Circle of Woman"
A Tentative First Step ...... I chose as a radius for my three circles 180 units ( why this number I will get into much later ) and thus the enclosing square would have a perimeter of 2 x 180 x 4 which equals 1440 units. After having enclosed our circle ( of man ) with a square I decided to mark the point on this square where a circle, with a circumference equal to our square's perimeter intersect. ....Well shall we do it ? ....Well have you done it yet ?......Can't be marked you say ? ....Aw yes but does it exist ? Yes it does indeed exist ! ... Just because we can not mark it does not mean it doesn't exist. . Here is why we can't mark it along with a proof that it exists. ..... As I mentioned I selected 180 units ( it could be any length ) as our radius for our Three Circles of Creation. This would lead of course to our square's perimeter equalling 1440 units. Since our formula for circumference is 2 x Pi x radius, simple substitution leaves us with 2 x Pi x radius = 1440 units. Isolating "r" ( for radius ) we arrive at r = 1440 divided by (2 x Pi). This results is an answer of 229.183118052329283507192619256421............ ( forever ? ). with this information we can now calculate (approx.) the co-ordinates of this point of intersection of our circle ( whose circumference is equal to our square's perimeter ) and the square itself. Since we now know 2 sides and have created a right angled triangle we can now easily ( with a calculator ) figure out the third side. We know the bottom length from point "B" to the squares right side is 180 units by definition ( we measured it ). The second known side is the hypoteneuse. This is a line from our point "B" to some point on our "right" side of the square that must equal 229.183118052329283507192619256421............ ( forever ? ) So now we have the hypoteneuse ( 229.183118052329283507192619256421............ ) and one side of 180 units. It is a simple matter ( with a calculator of course ) to figure out the length of the third side which would be the vertical rise in our triangle. Using, what I think was a very ancient formula but many give credit to the Greeks ), we get the following: Formula is "a" squared + "b" squared = "c" squared where ABC form a right angled triangle ! Substituting we get: Let "c" = 229.183118052329283507192619256421 ............ Let "b" = 180.0 "a" squared = "c" squared minus "b" squared ................. = 229.183118052329283507192619256421 ............ squared minus 180 squared ................. = 52524.9016001879007165071137279228 ............. minus 32400 "a" squared = 20124.9016001879007165071137279228 ..... "a" = 141.862262776919996217536814707151 ..... ..... We are now in a position to plot ( or mark ) this point. We simply go horizontally ( from our origin of man ) 180 units to the right. From here we simply go vertically 141.862262776919996217536814707151 ..... units. ... What's that ? ... You can't mark 141.862262776919996217536814707151 ..... units ? ... This is exactly my point ! ... It is impossible to mark this point of intersection exactly but as I have stated it certainly is an easy matter to visualize it in your mind. And to visualize it nothing is required but your mind ! .The Ancient Egyptians, even Neolithic Man, would have no problem visualizing this. They would need nothing more than curiosity and an open mind !!! ..... This is just part of the reason I feel "The Ancients" knew and understood this concept. For we really need no calculator, no compass, no straightedge, no marker, no material thing to illustrate or understand this concept. All we need is our mind !! This point of intersection can not be drawn or marked exactly but we can certainly conceive and see this "point" exactly in our minds. And if we can conceive and see it, I have to ask, why couldn't ancient man, especially the Ancient Egyptians, not done so as well ? ..... But now what do we do with this information and this point ? Well I then decided, using radius of 229.183118052329283507192619256421 ............ (or the radius that yields a circuference equal to a square's perimeter approx.) to then draw two circles from the origins ( or centres) of our "Circle of Man" and our "Circle of Woman". Having done this we arrive at the following configuration.
A Bold Second Step What do these interlocking circles represent to you? Have you seen them before? ..... To save time, rather than explaing the simple procedure to get the third circle, I will simply show you the final results. If you are not sure how to do this simply project the left side of our red square North from the North intersection point of our two cirlces the same radius as the two larger blue ones and then using this point of intersection as a new radius draw the third circles. The results yield what you see below.
An Inspired Third Step Now with your straightedge start joining points. After you see my diagram you will certainly know which points to join. And voila! There you have it! Pi revealed in all it's glory on the Plains of Nasca! After all is said and down, and all the lines are drawn, what we are left with is a perfect representation and proof that whoever drew this unique design knew and understood Pi as a concept of trying to square the circle and circle the square. This conclusion is inescapable as no other formula yields this arrangements. So we are left with this unique design, showing how to arrive at Pi, high on a mountain in an almost inaccessible part of the world. What purpose does it serve? Is it meant to show us that they indeed knew this concept Pi and what it represented? How was it laid out? How was it surveyed it? Whi did it? Why here? And most importantl I feel, how did they know it would endure here? Questions dam it, always more questions!
