Dolph practiced Kyokushin Karate during his youth
in Sweden,
and as a disciple of Oyama Sosai, he has contributed positively toward
the development of Karate internationally. He is a second degree black belt
holder and ex-captain of the Swedish full
contact Karate team. He has won both the European and Australian Heavyweight
Division Kick Boxing Championships. A few years ago, he released a health
and fitness workout video
called Maximum Potential. Last I know, he was
actively pursuing his third degree black belt in Karate, but he may very
well have it by now.
Most recently, Dolph was invited to train the US penthlaton team
for the 1996 Olympic Games. In his role as the U.S. Modern Pentathlon Team
Lead,
Dolph attended a variety of competitions with the team, in
addition to his administrative and organizational responsibilities. In 1994,
Dolph had produced and starred in the movie Pentathlon, during
which time he trained with some of the athletes on the current Olympic team.
He went through extensive, rigorous training in all five events: fencing,
shooting, swimming, running and equestrian riding.
