First formed in 2000 b a group of Freelance writers, the Association aimed high right from the start.
We wanted to provide a combined forum for our members. One that encompassed the areas of training, skills, professionalism, writing prizes, and a united front for our members in negotiations.
Since that time we have tried to live up to our aims, and we hope we have fulfilled them. 
Books, like newspapers, require professional skills.
