After the death of their mother, Gertrude and Gwyneth were sent to be cared
for by another brother who was a publican in Newcastle, New South Wales.
Gertrude ultimately married a man called Edwards and lived in NSW. Charles
Cobley remained in the wild and desolate town of Leonora, working in the
Sons of Gwalia Goldmine. He died of a lung complaint, aged 52, in 1909.
