Catherine was known as 'Cassie' and had a cousin in Australia, born in South Wales in 1893, also Catherine and known as 'Cass'. Photo taken in 1955.

This photo of my Aunt Cassie is the only one I have of her. She was my Dad's favorite Aunt and when we went to Colorado we always went to visit her. She married a man from Canon City and lived there on the ranch her father had bought all of her life.

I remember visiting her the time the photo was taken and how surprised I was when it got dark and you couldn't turn on a light because they didn't have any electricity. We had to light kerosene lights and she had a wonderful old player piano that you pumped with your feet. I remember how much fun it was spending the night with her. And how I loved her dog, Skippy. That was the best dog. I remember Aunt Cassie as being a very kind lady.
